Why You Should Not Feed Your Dog With “People” Foods

Most dog owners naturally love their dogs and are
usually cautious with what they feed their dogs.
However, there has always been a common mistake
made by them in that they will sometimes feed their
dogs with “people” foods. All too often, they think
that doing this will not hurt their dogs.

It is not a matter if you seldom or often give your
dog “people” food to eat; these “people” foods are
still unsafe. They are fatal to your dog’s health.

Therefore you should always take extra caution when
choosing the type of dog food to feed your dog. By
reading the labels on your dog foods, you can make
sure that the food you are giving him is safe and
nourishing.

Here are some of the things to watch out for when we
are dealing with “people” or table foods:

- Acidic foods are bad for your dog and should not
be offered to him. Acidic foods can destroy his GI
track and eventually result in illnesses such as
panting, restlessness, vomiting and panting.

- Dogs have bad experiences with grapes. There were
cases of kidney failure in dogs when they consume
this fruit.

- Onions have a negative effect on the balance of red
blood cells in your dog’s body. So stay away from this
food also.

- Coffee has been known to increase the heart rate of
your dog. This can result in your dog suffering from
GI track problems and seizures.

- Ibuprofen is the second leading cause of canine
poisoning in the world. Your dog absolutely like the
scent of this drug, so be sure to put it away out of
your dog’s reach.

- Most dog owners have, at some point in time, given
their dogs chocolate. Chocolate contains caffeine which
can increase their heart rate, which will in turn lead
to seizures.

- Rat poison is the number one leading cause of canine
poisoning. Thus, always place your rat traps carefully
at places unreachable by your dog.

You should give your dog the proper dog foods if you
want him to be healthy. Don’t feed him “people” foods.
Select only high quality, nutritional dog foods. If you
have any doubt regarding the types of foods to feed your
dog, consult with your veterinarian. Don’t just select
any food.

Or if you want to save yourself the trip to the vet, you
can certainly do so because this guy has already done
ALL the research
for your dog food.
